PRESS RELEASE April 24, 2018

Yamaha and the National Golf Course Owners' Association Head to Capitol Hill for 11th Annual National Golf Day

Yamaha joins other golf-related, industry leaders to celebrate and grow the sport of golf.

Kennesaw, Georgia (April 24, 2018) — Yamaha Golf-Car Company’s President, Tom McDonald, joins CEO of the National Golf Course Owners’ Association (NGCOA), Jay Karen, and many other industry partners, to represent the game of golf and its national impact at We Are Golf’s 11th annual National Golf Day celebration in Washington, D.C. on April 25, 2018.

Yamaha will converge on Capitol Hill with We Are Golf—the coalition of golf’s leading associations and industry partners, including the NGCOA—for a week of community service activities and meetings with key legislative members to further the game by showcasing its tremendous contributions to the nation’s economy, charities, personal health, and more.

“Given how passionate we are about game of golf and the positive impact it has on men, women, and children everywhere, we felt compelled to deepen our involvement in ensuring the future of the game, by partnering with organizations like the NGCOA [as their official golf car], and participating in National Golf Day,” said Tom McDonald, President of Yamaha Golf-Car Company. “The advocacy work that NGCOA does on behalf of the golf industry helps us all. That is why I am here representing the Yamaha Golf Car team. We want to further support the protection and growth of the game that we all love.”
